When you look for a care home for someone you love, the most important thing is that they're safe and properly cared for. For me, that's always been the starting point. At Nightingale Hammerson, I already felt that the quality of the staff and the management was very good. They're caring, professional, and genuinely engaged with the residents.
What Teton adds to that is another layer of reassurance. My mother is not in perfect health. She's had a stroke, her mobility is limited, and like many older people, she can be a bit stubborn. She wouldn't wear a physical alarm at home. So knowing there is a system in place that can monitor changes in her movement, respiration, sleep patterns, or unusual behaviour gives me peace of mind.
At first, I had a few questions about privacy, mainly because I didn't fully understand how it worked. But once it was explained that it doesn't physically see her, those concerns went away. There's always a balance, but her safety is of the greatest importance to me and my brothers.
