Teton at Cornford House
A pilot at Cornford House in Hartford cut the community’s fall rate by a third, brought incident response to under a minute, and reduced repeat falls among the residents most at risk.
Executive summary
Three changes that mattered.
Cornford House, a 79-bed community in Hartford operated by Hartford Care, deployed Teton in May 2026. We compared a four-week baseline against the first weeks of active use on the floor. These are early results, drawn from just five weeks of use, and are already moving in a clear direction. The metrics below are drawn from the operational data Teton captures passively and continuously across the floor.

Where it mattered most
The clearest gains at Cornford House came among the residents most at risk. Repeat fallers, who accounted for the majority of all falls before Teton, fell less often, and staff reached every incident faster. Prevention concentrated exactly where it compounds.
Continuous visibility at the point of care
Three mechanisms drove the change on the floor.
Continuous visibility changed the floor in three ways: caregivers reached residents faster, were present for more recoveries, and the community’s repeat fallers fell less often.
01
Alerts arrive in seconds, not minutes.
Continuous monitoring replaced reactive discovery. Incident response dropped by more than 95%, to under a minute on average, and every fall with a measured reaction time was attended within five minutes, up from 58% at baseline.
02
Staff present at more recoveries.
At baseline, nearly a third of falls were self-recovered, residents getting up unseen and at risk of a second fall. During active use, a staff member was present at roughly nine in ten recoveries, reducing secondary falls and making each incident's cause clearer.
03
Repeat falls declined.
The residents most likely to fall fell less often. The repeat-faller rate dropped to 18%, from 30% at baseline, and the share of all falls coming from repeat fallers fell from 73% to 59%.

£89,100 in revenue retained per year
Falls prevented are residents who stay.
The ~110 falls prevented annually translate to meaningful revenue retention. Fall prevention is one of the few operational levers that compounds: each avoided fall protects length of stay, occupancy, and the family’s confidence in the community.

Adoption & next step
Teton became part of the floor’s daily rhythm.
Adoption was the precondition for every outcome above. From the first weeks of use, staff relied on Teton continuously, not as an add-on, but as the active tool of record for the floor.
